Hi and
welcome to the site. A bit sparse I agree, but it's an age thing.
Current
projects include...
BATLEY
TV
I'm still helping volunteers in Batley, West Yorkshire create their
own regular 'monthly' online programmes. The programmes are currently
split into two 10 minutes parts and have attracted a lot of interest
in the area.

FILM
MAKING
I'm in talks with a community group in Hemsworth, South Yorkshire
to make a short fiction film set in and around Hemsworth. Not a big
deal you might think but this group have never written a script before,
have no knowledge of video, cameras or editing but are as keen as
they come. Once funding is secured we'll get the project on the road.....more
details to follow.

SELF
PUBLISHING
I've been helping first time authors get into print for over 15 years
now and continue to produce books for indivdual writers, writing groups
and anyone interested in turning their 'manuscript' into a professional
looking book. Print runs can be as small as 50 books (digital), or
1,000 and more (offset litho). If you'd like more details please get
in touch.

COMPUTER
TRAINING
Most of the training I do these days is with organisations in Yorkshire.
After all these years Photoshop remains the most popular, with InDesign
a close second.

VIDEO
FOR THE WEB TRAINING
I've recently been asked to present workshops on 'video and the web'
which are proving very popular. These video workshops are an ideal
way to show students the basics of shooting and editing professional
looking video. Students are also shown the 'tricks of the trade' which
will significantly improve their videos and give them the 'wow' factor.
These
video workshops are also ideal for small community groups who would
like to learn the skills to use video and the web for their projects.

ARTWORK
& SCULPTURE
In the past couple of years I've been working with various materials,
from paper, papier mache and cardboard to create artwork and sculpture
for community groups. I'm currently investigating the possibility
of working with steel in small wall mounted sculptures and reliefs.

PUPPETS
Puppets are a great way to inspire kids of all ages to communicate
and learn new skills. I've done various different forms of puppets
over the years, from large scale 'Muppet' type puppets to small 'sock
puppets'. I have an ongoing project working with schoolchildren to
create easy to make sock puppets, write their own script based around
a healthy living theme, and then perform and film the final short
piece. Once finished it can be turned into a book or a comic book
or even a web-based comic strip.

CAPHOUSE
THE MOUSE
A book for children that has been ongoing for more years than I care
to remember. Along with my writing buddy Roger Davison I've been developing
Caphouse with a view to self-publishing the finished book plus a further
five books in the series. However, I've been unable to find an illustrator
for the book despite scouring art colleges and chatting to local artists.....so
if you know of anyone who'd like to give it a go please get in touch.

POSTERS...ALMOST
GENUINE
Another ongoing project that came about when a chum asked me 'Do you
have any artwork I can exhibit on the gallery walls for a fortnight
to fill in between 'proper' exhibitions?" The 'Almost Genuine'
posters were the result of a few days work and they caused quite a
stir when finally exhibited. If you'd like one creating for yourself
or a friend then please get in touch and I'll see what I can come
up with. They work well as 'birthday presents' for those who already
have everything and you're stuck for something to get them that's
'original'.
